Sanford Christmas!

Several years ago after the kids started getting married and having extended families to include into their Christmas we had to start having the Sanford Christmas another time except Christmas Eve. From year to year it varies as to what date we do it on, (with Jessica living in Miami and having (2) EMT's in the family also). This year we were able to do it the day after Christmas. We always do this at Buddy and Becky's house. This year Becky made

4 different soups (potato cheese, taco soup, 3 cheese tortellini, and White Chicken Chili), everyone else brought everything to do sandwiches, desserts and drinks. It was really good. Everyone enjoyed the change of menu after the holidays. Buddy and Becky have the best house to get this big crew together in without us being crowded. Thanks Buddy and Becky!!

Highlights of Christmas Day !!!

Here are the highlights of Drew getting his presents!!

I think the adults were as excited as he was or maybe even more! I love it, Grandchildren are so much fun!! As you can tell we all love this little boy!!!

Christmas Day!

On Christmas day we did things a little different this year!! Tradition is we usually have breakfast, but Darryl decided since he was going to have breakfast at Tiff's families house he wanted a real meal. (He is so bossy and he says Dave is the Governor, haha, I love him though, ) So his plan was to have Grandaddy cook fried chicken and I was to make all the vegetables. So around 3:00pm we had an awesome meal and it was so good. We had the best fried chicken, green bean casserole, Derek made his famous twice baked potatoes, and corn. I mean it was delicious, good idea Darryl, I guess we have started a new tradition!!

Christmas morning!!

Christmas morning Tony, Derek and I went over Tiff and Darryl's to watch Drew get up for Santa, Dave was already there. He spent the night with Tiff and Drew since Darryl had to work Christmas Eve. Drew was so funny, it took him awhile to get awake since we had a kind of late night at Marty's. It was funny we all sat downstairs in anticipation waiting for him to wake up. So funny how children can make adults act sometimes, haha!! I love it!!!

Christmas Eve!!

On Christmas Eve we always go to Church for a Candle Light Service and then go to Marty's house to eat and open presents!! When Mom was alive that is when we always went to her and Dad's house and she would cook us a Lasagna dinner and it was oh so good. Since she passed, over the years we have kept up the tradition of getting together and we always think of her especially on Christmas Eve!! We all miss her!!
