25 years ago today was one of the happiest and best days of my life. My Derek came into the world weighing 7lb 7oz at 10:39am. What a joy he is and has been his whole life. I can't believe my sweet little boy who at age 3, would run around at the ball park with shorts, cowboy boots, gun, holster and a cowboy hat on has already grown into this fine young man. What I would give to have some of that sweet time back again. Would not do anything any different, just loved the time I was blessed with when my boys were little.

Happy Birthday Derek! I love you cuz! I still remember the days you and Darryl spent toughening me up. I wish I could be there tonight at Derek's birthday dinner, but I'm there in spirit and I love and miss you all. Tell Middle D anytime he wants to come to MIA he has a place to stay! I'll even cook for him and make him drinks :) But I'm not sure if they have Sun Drop in Florida...
